ECG Care Coach Certification Course - Fall 2024

The Telehealth Care Coach Certification Course (TCCC) is integral to the healthcare delivery ecosystem. Due to staffing shortages, resource constraints and cultural changes related to the COVID-19 pandemic, Payors, and providers have increasingly turned to Telecare (which includes both Telehealth and Telemonitoring) and In-home Medical Care as an efficient means of addressing certain healthcare needs. The TCCC is a specialized program that prepares students for entry-level employment in this burgeoning industry. Though many know and understand the concept of Telehealth as the virtual interaction between Medical Providers and patients, few realize the expanded need and value that Healthcare Coaches can bring to providers, payors, and patients within the broader Telecare field.

The TCCC, under the direction of MD, RN, LPN, and other licensed providers, provides proactive patient engagement, plan of care review and explanation with the patient, assists patients in understanding the impact of daily decisions on their health, and supports chronically ill patients and special-needs patient groups through empathy, kindness, and compassion. By leveraging technologies, time, and task management skills and mastering the art and science of providing these services remotely, the TCCC is ideally prepared to assist in meeting the goals of Reducing Costs, Improving Population Health, and Improving Patient Experience.
